Moet was definitely out of sorts as soon as she woke up … Turned her nose up at food, and showed no interest in toys. Food isn’t a big love of Moet’s, but failing to obsess about a tennis ball as soon as the sun is up is the first time in her 2,400+ day history. She seemed really listless, her gums looked very pale. We got ourselves really worked up this was the end, because of the weird behaviour the night before. Might sound minor, but her behaviour was totally un-Moet, and that’s how the specialist said we’d recognose the beginning of the end.
We went to the vet at 9AM, prepared to let her go, but he said while she wasn’t ‘healthy’ it was up to us if we wanted to euthanase her so soon since the diagnosis. He said she was showing no sign of abdominal pain. And of course we really really don’t want to let her go …
So we came home again, Moet had a great day at home with her Mum.
Tam from Animal Health (http://animalhealthstore.com.au) kindly met me near town to dispense some good stuff, and Moet now has a new full batch of anti-cancer natural remedies in her arsenal 🙂
During the day Moet had an episode which ‘might’ have been a seizure because Mary only got to her at the end, when she was scrabbling to get up off the ground. From a quick chat to the vet a seizure points to either a tumour in the brain or the liver mass toxins affecting the brain function. That would be a bad sign things are heading in the wrong direction. So we live in hope it was not a seizure.
Regardless of the worst case scenario, all is positive again … and attitude to all this crap being thrown at the poor girl is a large part of the battle. So the latest batch of Essiac Tea is on the stove and Moet will be dosed up on good stuff to continue her fight this morning. Go Team Moet !
